Green & Marble — Lower Parel Highrise
About this project
A high-floor Lower Parel apartment with a full-height sliding window onto a balcony, and an interior kept deliberately quiet so the view does the work. The living room is anchored by a large olive-green velvet sectional with a chaise return, set on polished marble flooring against soft off-white walls.
The ceiling carries the technical work: a stepped false ceiling with a recessed track-lighting channel, concealed cove lighting around the perimeter, and downlights positioned off the seating rather than centred on the room. A slim black wall sconce and a low black coffee table pick up the track detail, so the dark elements read as one family rather than as separate objects.
Soft furnishings do the accenting — a bold black-and-white geometric drape layered over sheer white, a single large-format line-drawing artwork, and a pair of turned dark-timber side stools. The restraint is the point: in a room with that much glass, the interior competes with the skyline if it is over-detailed.
Design style: Tonal contemporary — olive, marble and black accents with layered architectural lighting
